Formed in 2009 by vocalist / drummer Gretta Rochelle and guitarist Jack Armondo, My Gold Mask conjure a feeling rather than a simple sound. Their music is part art-pop, part sonic poetry, and part personal chemistry. Their brand new album "Leave Me Midnight" on Highwheel Records is a dark and moody wall of sound that creates a spooky realm for the songs to flourish
The Burning of Rome mastermind Adam Traub is a Southern California native who grew up in the sun-bleached city of San Diego. Those formative years were also spent glued to a piano, with a guitar close by. At age 11 he started playing in a punk band, and by 15 they had struck a deal with Arista Records. During that time, Traub was diagnosed with a rare muscular disorder in both of his legs that would eventually require seven serious surgeries and six titanium bolts to correct.

Even after the disaster that was “Shortcut to Memphis”, The Golden Boys are still a stunning example of rock’n'roll from the heart. Separate The Golden Boys and you get 5 destructive tornadoes of law defying drunkenness and self loathing (especially Schmitz) bring them together, and they form a sub-par action squad of stumble-drunk sweethearts who even at their worst…are the best band in the world. We really, really hate them for that.
KONGOS is a rock band of four brothers (Johnny, Jesse, Dylan and Danny Kongos) - sons of South African/British singer-songwriter John Kongos, best known for his two international hits 'He's Gonna Step On You Again' and 'Tokoloshe Man'. They grew up in London and South Africa and are now based in Phoenix, Arizona.
They met. They fell in love. They wrote songs. They fought. They made up. They broke up. They wrote songs. At a time when for most it would be the end of a relationship, for Australian band The Falls this feels like just the beginning... Almost subconsciously The Falls have documented their whole relationship in their songs. The love, the betrayal, the heartbreak. While at times it is hard for them to wear their hearts so openly on their sleeve, for The Falls, it has been a huge part of their songwriting. As Stevie Nicks said "devastation leads to writing good things".
Detroit's masters of heavy soul, The Sights, are a five-piece rock 'n' roll band renowned for both their incendiary live shows and acclaimed song-writing. Think Big Star & Badfinger fronted by Steve Marriott and you'll get a pretty good idea of what makes these guys tick. Hailed by critics and fans alike, they continue to build on an incredible 14-year legacy of uncanny blues-rock meets power pop.
The Soft Moon was never intended for the public's ears, but you found it, were drawn in by its danger, and insisted that others hear. Oakland's Luis Vasquez began the project in order to better know his own self. He'd holed up in his apartment and let the tape roll, allowing gut and memory guide him. Those twin sherpas, however, led him to a place of darkness, claustrophobia and dread: a musical wasteland moving to a Motorik tic, its edges made jagged in the image of early post-punk, swathed in the moody atmosphere of vintage darkwave.
Remember when hardcore bands sang about important topics and cared about what they said? Well, some still do and, sometimes, you have to look around the world to find them. THE GEEKS is that band. Prior to 2005, THE GEEKS had appeared on compilations within the United States along with the worldwide distribution of their discography CD on Townhall Records which helped introduce the band to the western world. The release of their EP on Think Fast! Records entitled "What's Inside" solidified the band as one of the most sincere hardcore acts in the world today.
