September is here — and with it, news from the Interactive programming front. Because we know you are eager to see the lineup of programming for SXSW Interactive 2011, we decided to release panels information earlier than ever this season. On Monday, September 20, we will release a list of the first 200 accepted titles for the 2011 event via the SXSW website.
This year, there will be no email notifications before the September 20 release date of the status of PanelPicker proposals, but organizers will receive an email on the day of the announcement detailing next steps for a successful presentation. This announcement will represent about one-third of our total programming for the 2011 season.
Showcasing a variety of acts—from Dr. Dog to Diane Birch—the SXSW Music Day Stage has always brought top talent to perform at the Austin Convention Center. In 2011, SXSW will be expanding its day-time music programming in the Austin Convention Center to include an additional stage in Ballroom G.

No downtime this summer for the hardworking SXSW staff — international reps are on the go in more than ten countries and four continents while the States staff are putting in face time in cities across the U.S.. As an international event with attendees from over 60 countries worldwide, SXSW has a lot of ground to cover to keep in touch with our far-flung community.
The proposals are in! We've broken them down into three broad categories that each correspond to a SXSW event: Music, Film, or Interactive. To make the task less daunting, PanelPicker has some built-in functions to search and filter proposals, so you can browse and vote only on the ones that interest you most.
First, create a FREE PanelPicker account. From the PanelPicker home page, click on "Explore the Proposals for SXSW Interactive". Of course, if you know the panel title or any other identifying information about a specific proposal you can find it using the search fields. You also have the option to browse proposals in groupings by "Category" or you can use the "Tag" field to further narrow down the proposal selections (see video).
